As some of you may already know, the Agroshare website is newly revamped. We will continue to grow, add content, and try to serve the people of Alabama’s ever-changing needs. As we work on developing a community of like-minded folks here, we hope you’ll check out a few of the following communities and forums in the meantime. They are great resources for ideas, inspiration, and accountability on your path to sustainability and health.
First up, check us out on Facebook! We post updates, links, and have a lot of fun. Find the Agroshare Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/agroshare/
Also, Permies.com is an invaluable resource for homesteaders, gardeners, and all those interested in sustainable or regenerative agriculture. The website contains a huge number of discussion threads and forums on diverse topics including gardening, raising animals, cooking and food preservation, as well as all facets of self-sufficient living, including the financial aspects and ideas about how to create a profitable homestead. At Permies.com, you can connect with and learn from the triumphs and setbacks of others with years of homesteading experience: https://permies.com
Another resource I cannot recommend enough is Abundant Permaculture, created by Justin Rhodes. Justin Rhodes is a permaculturalist and experienced homesteader based on 75 acres near Asheville, North Carolina. Mr. Rhodes strives to teach others gardening, sustainable animal husbandry, and permaculture growing methods through online resources and the detailed videos he produces. You can learn more about him and the corresponding Abundant Permaculture community here: https://abundantpermaculture.com/
