Cloud Bread

A patient in my clinic introduced me to cloud bread. She brought me some, and it was delicious, although I have not made it at home myself yet. It is also another substitute for bread, and the texture and concept are similar to Chaffles (keto friendly cheese and egg “waffles”). If you like the soft feel of bread and crave a vehicle for healthy meat, egg salad or BBQ inside, Cloud Bread is worth a try!

The base of the “bread” is whipped egg whites and includes cream cheese and seasonings. With a little advanced planning, you can still enjoy a sandwich or toast while sticking to a keto or low-carb diet. One important note is that cloud bread must be refrigerated, and the taste and texture is best when freshly baked.
