An Introduction:

Is it possible to prevent most diseases? We have been told a long time that much of what happens to us health-wise is inherited and we can’t often prevent disease from occurring. The premise of most of our page is to help you understand you can prevent most diseases! Even if your dad had a heart attack and your mom had a stroke or got dementia, does that mean you will have the same issues? Our goal is to help you understand many ways you can stop from becoming a diabetic, even if everyone in your family has diabetes. We are here to teach you all that we can to prevent many diseases from happening to you. We cannot promise that we can keep everyone healthy and that disease will never occur, but there are many issues that many of us have that can be prevented and reversed.
Because much of the information I give in my classes is medical advice, I cannot post everything here on this page. In order to benefit from what I teach, you need a professional doctor-patient relationship with me. I put as much on AgroshareMD as I can that is beneficial to your general health, but not specific medical advice. I want to let people know what we are doing in our classes so that if you want to take part, you can let us know. The reason we must charge for our classes is to cover the costs of keeping our page current and it takes several employees to do this work.
We are having educational classes on Tuesday mornings starting October 4th, 2022 at 9:30 at the Collinsville Library, 2nd floor. The cost is $50 a month until January, then the price will go up to $60 a month. Besides being able to attend classes, for the monthly fee you will receive a membership to Dr. Koe’s Valley Care DPC (direct primary care) clinic.
By becoming a member of Valley Care DPC, you will be able to make appointments with Dr. Koe as often as you would like each month, as well as coming to classes. You have the choice to keep your current PCP (Primary Care Physician), or for us to become your primary provider. You can visit our DPC page to get even more information and learn more about the benefits of direct primary care.
The classes will cover many topics. Each class will focus on several topics centered on one theme. We will have food and drinks in each class to let you taste healthier versions of items you might be used to. Also, we will have door prizes and activities in each class to make classes more interesting and fun! I will limit our classes in size, but for now, there is plenty of space. We will expand to an evening class if there is enough interest and we can expand to other Tuesday mornings each month as our classes grow.
Once a class is finished, there will be a video of the class that will go into an online library. You will have a password to access the library so that you can view the class again at your convenience. We will break the videos into short 15 minutes segments (approximately 4-5 segments per class) so that you don’t have to see it all again and can just go to a topic you want to understand more. We will label all topics clearly so that you can find the information quickly and easily.
If you are interested in participating in our DPC clinic and classes, just call us at 256-619-9966. Speak to Teresa!
Here, we’ll talk about how to help with many disease processes and teach therapies you can do at home. We want to create a quickly searchable resource for home treatment if you are having problems or illnesses such as back pain, colds, slight injuries, rashes, nail fungus, and many other issues. Sometimes, you can’t get to us quickly, it is the weekend, or your problem is minor. This category will address those complaints at home, or during off hours. This is NOT, however, meant for serious or illnesses that need special care. As always, the information offered on this website is not medical advice, and you should consult your medical care provider before changing your health routines or if you need medical assistance.
We will also address topics where early prevention is important, such as avoiding disease as you grow older. Although serious illnesses must be managed with your doctor, some conditions can actually be avoided, prevented, or reversed. Can we prevent illness? Can we prevent diabetes? Can we prevent heart attacks? Yes! Here, you will also find information on preserving your health by avoiding major health concerns. We will add to this page often, so you can stay up to date on the topics that affect your health.
